Be sustainable this Easter!
02 April 2021

At Easter, its popular for people to eat fin-fish, however, there are other options to consider including crustaceans and shellfish.

Stuck for ideas, try some of the following down your local supermarket, restaurant or fish & chipper

  1. Salmon
  2. Southern blue whiting
  3. Hoki / blue grenadier
  4. Toothfish
  5. Hake
  6. Prawns
  7. Lobster
  8. Pipis
  9. Crabs

There's a wide variety of sustainable seafood to eat in Australia with the Marine Stewardship Council’s blue fish tick. Just look out for it!

Want to go one step further and support Western Australian sustainable fisheries?

Well… Austral Fisheries' Glacier 51 Toothfish has taken out the title of Best Sustainable Seafood Product for the second year running at the recent Sustainable Seafood Awards 2021, shared with the newly Marine Stewardship Council certified Fremantle Octopus range.

Meanwhile, the Aquaculture Stewardship Council certified Western Australia’s own KB Seafood Co kingfish scooped the accolade for Best Responsible Seafood Product.
